Fresh Fruit and Vegetable Program
Alcott Elementary School has been chosen to participate in the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA)’s Fresh Fruit and Vegetable Program (FFVP) which is monitored by Texas Department of Agriculture (TDA).
The purpose of the program is to provide free fresh fruits and vegetables to students during the school day at service times other than during breakfast or lunch service. This opportunity is only available to a few elementary schools in Texas that met specific criteria.
