  • Are all links working and linked to the correct places?
  • Are photos inserted correctly and have you checked for broken images?
  • Have you updated your homepage with current information?

  • Consider having a small group of parents or students review the site to ensure that content is easy to find, and the content they want to find is present.

Superintendent Terry Grier says the fact that HISD has been named a finalist for the Broad Prize “speaks to what teachers and principals have been able to accomplish.”

The Houston Independent School District is delivering on promises made as part of the 2007 Bond. Sixteen new schools are open, dozens of renovation projects have been completed, and safety and security upgrades have taken place at campuses across the district. While many students are already enjoying new and improved facilities, other projects remain ongoing. HISD is determined to fulfill all commitments made to voters in 2007. One of these commitments is the new Almeda Elementary.
